We have rented log cabins in the Blue Ridge area for years and Mount Laurel, lodge in Young Harris, Georgia, surpass all of them! Our first trip was June 2022 with a group of eight. The minute we drove up the driveway. We were all in awe of this beautiful three level cabin. State of the art appliances, kitchen cabinets were labeled, what a great idea. We rented a pontoon boat from Lake Chatuge marina one day, visited Highlands, North Carolina, but mostly we enjoyed hanging out on the main level deck overlooking Lake Chatuge.( the sunsets and sunrises are amazing). The second trip was April 2023 party of four. We ventured to Gibbs garden, Crane Creek, Vineyard and Hiawassee. Again, hanging out on the deck is the most peaceful and relaxing thing we did. The host hostess had everything we could've wanted, and then some. I am thinking of a fall trip. Instead of renting, a boat, sitting by the fire pit will be a must.

"I have had the awesome opportunity to stay at this most gorgeous of getaways two times now, and it never ceases to amaze me. The view alone is worth its price in gold. You simply can't get this anywhere else. It is like a mountain haven, and getaway for any busy person or family that needs a retreat. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need. It's great for a very large group or simply a family that just wants to get away. Oh, and if you want to have a girls trip, this is the place to go, because you can go to some of the vineyards nearby or just drink wine on the balcony and look at the view. Five stars are not enough of a rating for this place. You need to book today!!

We recently spent a month this summer at the enchanting Mt. Laurel Lodge in Young Harris, Georgia, and I must say, it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the lodge's rustic charm, impeccable hospitality, and the absolute gem of its surroundings. The absolutely gorgeous 360 view of the majestic mountains, vast skies, and fluffy white clouds that stretched out as far as the eye could see was mesmerizing. The landscape was a masterpiece of nature's artistry, and I found myself continually drawn to the expansive deck to soak in the breathtaking panorama. From vibrant sunrises that painted the sky in hues of pink and orange to serene sunsets that transformed the mountains into silhouettes against a warm, golden backdrop. Our hosts truly went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable and were responsive to any questions we had. They thought of every comfort you can want! The lodge itself was a haven of comfort and luxury. The attention to detail in every aspect of the accommodations was evident, from the elegantly designed interiors to the plush furnishings that invited relaxation. The blend of rustic elements with modern amenities created an inviting ambiance that was both charming and convenient. We spent days lounging on the decks, having bbqs in the evenings, s’mores by the fire overlooking the lit up view at night, and then slept perfectly. There were so many rooms and places to sleep and each one so comfortable with lots of pillows and blankets. They also had a spacious den with a beautiful pool table, reclining couches, and fireplace for watching movies in superior comfort. Exploring the area around the lodge was an adventure in itself. The lodge's proximity to nature trails allowed me to immerse myself in the tranquil beauty of the Appalachian landscape. The sound of the insects and animals echoed throughout and we saw golden eagles fly over us almost daily. This was a perfect escape from the bustle of everyday life. Our stay at Mt. Laurel Lodge in Young Harris, Georgia, was nothing short of magical. Highly recommend this lovely place for families and anyone wanting peace and relaxation.
